The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Advanced Level Cloud Application Software Engineer – (Virtual) to join the Boeing Enterprise Products and Capabilities Utilities team, this position will support the development, deployment and certification of cloud based software applications used in the creation and verification of Loadable Software Airplane Parts including but not limited to Navigation Data and configurable software.
This Software Engineering position will begin with the generation of micro-service applications used in the 28 day cycle production of Navigation Databases and Customer Reports for the Boeing 737 aircraft. Software development will be done using an agile lifecycle within a global distributed scrum team of software engineers responsible for activities throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Position Responsibilities:

Decomposition of Tier II software requirements into Tier IV software requirements

Requirement Based Testing generation and execution for Tier V requirements

Development of Software Design and Implementation
-
Conduct formal qualification testing of the tool software

Generation of DO-330 certification artifacts including Plans and SW development Lifecycle execution evidence

Implementation of problem and change requests against the current baselined software

Obtain and maintain fit for use and certification of tool and cloud based production environment

Interact with multiple stakeholders across organizations

Support Agile SW development method

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

10+ Years Java, python, C++

1+ year experience as a lead engineer or engineering manager
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
-
Experience with SaaS architectures and with cloud based development

Experience with Angular front end Software application development

Experience with generation of DO-200B/ DO-330 certification artifacts including plans and software development lifecycle execution evidence (Score as 1 point)
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $113,900 – $177,100
