Job Description:
Position Summary
Happy Returns is experiencing rapid growth and has launched multiple facilities , or hubs, in the last two years. We now operate in Pennsylvania, California, and Mississippi. We are looking for an eager analyst to s upport our work to grow our operations and pursue automation in our hubs . This is a unique opportunity to impact a large operation at a rapidly growing logistics and technology company. A solid quantitative and analytical skill set will set the candidate up to support and shape our growth , identify opportunities, and track progress. Experience applying thi s skill set in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred but a diverse set of experience will also be considered. Reporting to the Hub Automation & Engineering Manager , the Automation & Operational Growth Analyst will:
- Play a key role in analyzing and assessing our vision for automation and growth across our facili ties nationwide
- Develop and track metrics that paint a clear picture of the operational impact of expansion projects , automation installations, and other warehouse improvements
- Translate engineering plans into key performance indicators that assess the efficacy of technology we install in our hubs
- Collaborate with the automation , planning , and engineering team to establish objectives and key results of our projects aimed at maximiz ing the lifespan and efficiency of our hubs
- Monitor progress on a strategic long-term -year facilities plan that optim izes available space and aligns with future automation solutions
- Build a working understanding of day-to-day operations of the warehouse to inform our metrics
- Contribute to an amazing work culture by integrating feedback and ideas from the specialist population and developing systems that inspire great work and collaboration. Our go al is to cement Happy Returns as a top workplace with in the local regions .
R equirements
We are looking for someone with:
- B.S. or B.A. degree
- 2-4 years’ experience analyz in g and shaping data sets with a focus on tracking progress against business goals
- Proven analytical aptitude and quantitative skills to aid the development of growth-oriented ideas. A technical background and a bility to work along software and systems development teams is a plus .
- Comfort with large or ambiguous data sets and the ability to translate them into meaningful measures and gather additional data as needed
- Experience in an ultrafast-scaling organization and/or excitement to be a part of one – we are disrupting a multi-billion-dollar industry and are expecting tremendous growth in the near-term
- Proven ability to participate effectively in project teams from idea generation to implementation . Our culture is a critical part of our success, and you need to help drive it.
- A “ get things done ” attitude with the ability to pursue work independently and manage high quality results with little oversight
- Excitement for working in a start-up environment with high level of ambiguity and change
- Strong desire for continuous improvement of environment as well as a personal, lifelong learner mentality
- A long-term perspective on career development and desire to grow professionally within the company
- Willingness to travel occasionally
