Hardware Engineering Program Manager

As an Engineering Program Manager within RD hardware team, you will be responsible for the development of hardware solutions for a wide range of products. You are encouraged to demonstrate your engineering background to enable multi-functional teams to deliver sophisticated solutions. This team defines and integrates mechanical design, hardware, firmware, electrical parts across a variety of products. This role involves the whole cycle of product research and development. You will own the system level requirements from the product management team, and you will transform the requirements into engineering features and industrial design, by coordinating with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and other engineering teams. You should have a working understanding of product development and manufacturing to drive and execute the plan from concept engineering to hardware manufacturing integration. You will complete your ability to empower multi-functional teams to deliver complex electro-mechanical systems with high quality. The Responsibilities Lead and align cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, process, and firmware engineering to deliver high-quality solutions and integrate them into new products Define the program planschedule and manage program execution Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks, drive engineering discussions and decisions on critical system parameters Create the architecture for the products according to user requirements and technology implementation Combine firmware and hardware into one integrated system. Ensure the product work seamlessly from all different perspectives Establish the interfaces between different systems, define the workflow, and design the process with an electro-mechanical nature Collaborate with mechanical engineers and electrical engineers to create the workflow of product systems and combine their outputs Collaborate with process engineers to design the validation process and testing procedure for the early engineering prototype to final pre-production products Perform risk, assumption, issues, and dependencies analysis during prototype cycles The Requirements 5+ years of previous experience in designing complex electromechanical systems or products 3+ years of technical project management experience in consumer products development, mechanical design, and manufacturing process development Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Experienced in setting up project plans, anticipate potential roadblocks, and react proactively to mitigate risks or impacts Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities Knowledge of the product development and manufacturing process Knowledge of product architecture and system development Detail-oriented on testing and validating prototype and system Preferred Skills Knowledge of CAD and mechanical design Knowledge of PCB and electronic design 3D printing technology experience Data analysis and experiment design skills
