The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that internally created or purchased IT solutions are developed, tested and implemented in a consistent manner while meeting established quality targets.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform test execution as needed for various Harbor Freight projectsLead and direct others who are responsible for test execution in a matrixed environmentReview and identify gaps and deficiencies business requirements, technical specifications, designs and testing documentation for completeness and testabilityAssist QA Management in department operational tasksTrack and report on test status progress across multiple initiativesParticipate in cross-functional collaborative problem solving and defect management sessions with project teamsProactively seek and share information about relevant aspects of Quality Assurance and Testing disciplines with business and IT stakeholdersLead the development and implementation of SQA and Testing policies, processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Demonstrate flexibility in managing testing efforts as project priorities warrantCollaborate with other areas within IT and our business to identify and improve testing processesScope (Required)Staff supervision and development — NoneFinancial Scope NoneDecision making NoneTravel – MinimalLocation— Corporate, general officeRequirementsEducation (Required)BA/BS Degree in Computer Systems or Business with at least 5+ years in the Information Technology industrySkills (Required)Thorough understanding of quality management and modern testing techniques, methodologies, processes, procedures and measurement for large, complex initiativesThorough knowledge of test planning and test case design for all types of testing including functionality, usability, regression, systems integration, end to end, performance and load testingAdvanced Software Development Lifecycle experience, including agile, spiral and waterfall methodsAdvanced knowledge of testing metrics, KPIs and other test metrics and reporting methodsAbility to write and analyze reports for a broad audience including managementExceptional communication skills (both verbal & written)Stronganalytical skillsAbility to mentor and train others on testing and Quality Assurance practices, both informally at peer-level and through formal instructionSkills (Preferred / Desired)Industry related certifications including ISTQB, CSQA, CQA, CSTE or CISA certifications are a plus 0Experience (Required)5+ years as a Software Quality Engineer/Test Engineer /Test Analyst) or equivalent work experience in the Software Quality Assurance fieldExperience in providing technical leadership to vendors and multiple project team membersAdditional Qualifications (behavioral traits, certifications, etc)BA/BS Degree in Computer Systems or Business with at least 5+ years in the Information Technology industry#LI-PG1About Harbor Freight ToolsIn 1977, Harbor Freight Tools was started as a small family-owned business.
