Gaming Developer Marketing Manager

Facebook seeks an analytical and tech-savvy Gaming Developer Marketing Manager who is passionate about making game developers successful on the Facebook platform.

Facebook Gaming is a rapidly growing platform featuring both cloud-hosted games as well as html5 games.

The successful candidate must have experience building, managing and executing outbound developer-facing marketing programs in a fast-paced technology company.

They must thrive with cross-functional teams and exhibit excellent analytical, content strategy, product positioning, digital marketing, and go-to-market skills.

The ideal candidate has the ability to translate complexity into simple communications and to think creatively and strategically.

Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Gaming Developer Marketing Manager Responsibilities

– Drive global developer marketing strategy and activate peers across Marketing, Partnerships, Product & Commutations teams in order to execute

– Lead both scaled and hyper-targeted global marketing initiatives and programs, and contribute to launching digital campaigns

– Drive developer facing product marketing for Facebook’s gaming products and platforms

– Execute the go-to-market plan across products and platforms to support Facebook’s broader gaming narrative

– Coordinate and work closely with cross-functional teams (including PR, design, product, partnerships and engineering stakeholders) to deliver world-class product marketing communications

– Develop strategic positioning, overarching ecosystem narrative, and messaging for key products/features based on market assessment, quantitative analysis and understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem

– Execute performance marketing initiatives to drive product adoption and usage rates by creating a measurement framework to enable ROI positive outcomes

– Develop and build out an audience-first ABM (Account Based Marketing) program in collaboration with data analytics and business teams

– Optimize the developer-facing website via rigorous testing of content, activations, and sentiment measurements

– Craft developer-facing communications in collaboration with other stakeholders: blog posts, alerts, videos, emails, webinars etc.

– measuring their efficacy and ruthlessly optimizing for ROI

– Collaborate with in-market teams on events that elevate awareness of new products and features among the developer ecosystem globally 

Minimum Qualifications

– BA/BS degree

– Gaming industry experience

– 10+ years experience in B2B Marketing or Product Management in technology

– Experience partnering with Product Management and Engineering organizations on technically detailed content

– Experience in brand, creative, digital marketing, content marketing, ABM/Demand Gen and Field marketing

– Experience building programs that map to business goals, demonstrate audience insights and showcase creative excellence

– Experience influencing across cross-functional and stakeholder teams

– Experience working with agencies and contractors, ensuring quality of output and clarity of roles and responsibilities

– Experience executing on tactical items while driving a global strategy

– Experience prioritizing and working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders 

Preferred Qualifications

– Deep knowledge of mobile, web, PC and console games across the competitive landscape
