Who We’re Seeking:

We’re building out the data, infrastructure, tools, and applications to support our business and having fun doing it!

In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy FortiFi’s newest product features that support the loan financing cycle.

This includes the loan origination application, the tools our underwriters use to process loans and pay contractors, the tools our finance managers use to issue bonds, and much more.

Key Responsibilities:

Build the applications our customers use to apply for loans and submit their documentation.

For example, we need to verify our customer’s identity and we have integrated biometric identity verification as part of our application process.
Develop tools our operations teams use to underwrite and manage loan applications.

We fetch credit and lien reports as well as pull property data and extract this data for underwriters to make quick decisions.
Write scrapers and REST clients that fetch and pull loan, income, property, and regulatory data from third party financial services
Improve our operations, sales and finance process through the implementation of technology.
Contribute to our strong engineering culture which values objective decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications:

Deep understanding of either Python or Javascript (React) as demonstrated through professional experience building full stack web applications.
Experience with modern front-end engineering (preferably React) including HTML, CSS and related web technologies.
Ability to build HTTP REST Clients and Services in Python which integrate with 3rd party APIs and bonus if you have used the Django REST Framework.
Working knowledge of SQL & Relational Databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
You believe in automation, testing and instrumentation and have demonstrated it throughout your career.
3+ years of full time industry experience building high performing web applications.
You are an excellent communicator with a desire to share and learn.
Experience building financial or real estate applications is strongly preferred.
Degree in Computer Science or related field.

In-Office Environment and Physical Demands:

This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets
Work environment is indoors with majority of time spent sitting at a desk
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn
Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Details: This is a remote based position (remote during and post the COIVD19 Pandemic), full-time position.

Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel other office locations as needed.
