Our organization is looking for a highly talented and versatile Front End Developer to help expand our web platform. You are a motivated software engineer who enjoys wearing many hats. Responsibilities range from developing innovative solutions and UIs using modern web frameworks to developing robust API. This role will be based from our Venice, CA headquarters (not a remote position). Interest in sports is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Working with the product team to quickly prototype and deploy user experience improvements
- Applying the latest front-end technologies with a focus on React development, advanced CSS implementation and HTML5
- Develop new user facing featuresWrite reusable code and libraries
- Enhance application for maximum speed and scalability
- Validate input before submitting to back end
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholder
- Bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
- Define how the application looks and how it works
- Translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code
Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of professional front end development around the user experience.
- Experience with responsive web design.
- Experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, Vue.js, Thymeleaf, etc.) and test frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Selenium, etc)
- Highly skilled in ES2015, CSS3 and HTML5
- Experience with Node.js
- Comfortable in a scale up environment; where things move fast & you need to be flexible to change
- Experience with responsive UI frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.), JavaScript build tools (Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, etc.) and source control (GIT, Perforce, etc.)
- Proven understanding of the full web technology stack
- Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
- Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background
