Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space and Launch Division, is seeking an Experienced Systems Engineer (Level 3) to support the team in Seal Beach, CA, El Segundo, CA or Aurora, CO. The Space and Launch Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.Position Overview:The Experienced Systems Engineer will be a part of a high-performing team that is immersed in high intensity development/integration projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborate environment with a multi-discipline team. This position will focus on design, develop, and test of operational products in support of Space based systems.Position Responsibilities:Ground and System Level Integration & Test.Develop detailed test procedures and conduct verification tests.Develop Ground Segment Operational Products in support of Space based systems.Support ConOps development and product design, development, and test.Support complex system level threads required to run missions in space.Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.Resolves cross-functional technical issues.Work Authorization:This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.3 years or more of experience in systems engineering.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in space systems and working with multi-discipline teams.Experience with Ops Product architecture, design, development, and test.Experience with software requirements verification testing.Experience with scripting languages (i.E. Tcl/Tk, Python).Experience with Configuration Management tools and processes.Experience with Agile processes and tools.Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation :This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
