– Seattle, WA Job Description Qualifications: The Product Support IT Fleet Products Organization is seeking an experienced IT Systems Developer (Programmer/Analyst) in Hazelwood, MO (Auburn, WA; Everett, WA; Huntsville, AL; Kent, WA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Oklahoma City, OK; Philadelphia, PA; Renton, WA; Seal Beach, CA; Seattle, WA) for the Defense Tech Data, Supply Chain, Fleet Management, & Field Support Systems team.
This position allows telecommuting.
The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
- Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications.
- Gathers and evaluates end user requirements.
- Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design and analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements.
- Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality.
- Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems.
- Reviews system performance and identifies and recommends improvements.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
§ 120.15 is required.
“US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years’ experience with PERL
- 3+ years’ experience with scripting languages such as, ACL, SQL Developer, Oracle, XML, MySQL, Python
- Strong experience in scripting languages like VB Script (primary), C# or Java and Python (secondary)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with ColdFusion, Tableau, Adobe PDF publishing
Typical Education & Experience: Typically 6 or more years related work experience or relevant military experience.
Advanced degree in computer science or similar is preferred but not required.
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation.
