EMT Training Program – Lima – Life Flight Network

Thank you for considering a career at Mercy Health Program Details: -Our 11 week EMT Training will be located in Findlay, OH and will followed by Full Time Employment within Lima Program is in partnership with Allen County Ohio Means Jobs and chosen applicants would participate.

Summary: The EMT Intern will work under direct supervision of assigned preceptor.

The EMT Intern will assist staff with non-patient related duties as assigned while attending an approved EMT Basic Course.

Essential Job Functions: Attend EMT Basic School 18 hours per week Complete weekly intern assignments as assigned Participate/attend required/mandatory trainings.

Maintain proper reports and records Care for vehicle and equipment Wash Trucks/Check outdates/Ordering and stocking of supplies Dispatch Center Observation Leader Shadowing Ambulette Training Maintains confidentiality and actively supports patient/family rights Performs other duties as assigned Practices Mercy Core Values Qualifications: Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education: Vocational/Technical Degree Valid Driver’s License with 1-3 years Driving Experience
– Required BLS
– Required Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) within 3 months of hire EMT Basic Certification within 6 months of hire.

Must obtain EMT Basic State of Ohio certification within 3 months of course completion.
