DIRECTV is looking for a talented, highly motivated, self-driven individual with development skills to join our service operations team as a Sr.
Specialist.
You will work in an OPS team that owns monitor & control and technical recovery for all our advertising platforms ( DTV, Uverse, Streaming).
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and continuously improve the support experience through scripting, automation, and tooling opportunities.
System administration and ownership of various advertising platforms and sub-components.
Utilize Splunk to support operations teams through ad hoc alerts and dashboards Work on various software projects to improve upon monitoring, leveraging many AWS technologies like Glue, Lambdas, SQS, Athena Experience with some front-end web development, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Spark, AWS a plus.
Summarize, document and present technical information in both verbal and written form.
As the successful candidate, you will need to possess several of the following job qualifications: Tooling & Automation Continuous improvement of event detection and alerting capabilities and auto-remediation.
Partner with cross functional teams to drive strategic change and improve our data tools, and other visual aids for a better monitoring experience.
Experience with Splunk, Grafana and similar tools are highly desired.
Programming & Scripting Experience with programming/scripting languages ie: C++, Javascript, Python Implementation Implement software to meet security, performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability requirements.
Personality Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including a qualitative and quantitative skill set.
Communication Excellent communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results.
