You’re self-motivated and can design a software system based on technical and business requirements from multiple sources, but enjoy working outside the box to accomplish a solution You’re open to working fully remote and can work autonomously You are excited by the idea of building a seamless login and authentication experience for customers and You succeed in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a ” Everything has a solution” mindset and a fearless ” Go-getter” attitude You communicate effectively across all levels of our organization Heres what youll do: Help build and document the vision for DIRECTV’s identity and access management (IAM) platform Interact with 3rd parties to build integrations with other providers who will interact with DIRECTV’s IAM platform Assess cloud-based IAM providers and services to determine their value to our platform and customers Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies like Movies Anywhere, two-factor authentication, and passwordless authentication Collaborate with internal and external teams on design, architecture, code-reviews and process reviews Continuously evaluate IAM systems for opportunities to improve functionality, increase resiliency, or decrease customer friction Evaluate new technologies and industry trends, develop proof-of-concepts and present findings to the engineering organization Keep a finger to the pulse of our customers and core KPIs for opportunities to improve identity-related experiences Heres what youll need: BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field Experience with both authentication and authorization Experience designing and implementing highly scalable RESTful/gRPC APIs Experience with AuthN/AuthZ frameworks (OpenID, OAuth, or SAML) Software development experience using a high-level, object-oriented programming language (Java, C++, Python, Golang) More about us?

As an Engineer working on DIRECTVs Authentication platform, youll join a team thats focused on extending the customer experience beyond the television screen to include building a seamless (and painless!) identity and access management system.
Youll design, build and operate a complex collection of services that handle the many different aspects of identity our customers utilize, including third-party authentication, password-less authentication, Single Sign-On, multi-factor authentication, and more.
Our team is improving customer reliability, security, and accessibility, without sacrificing flexibility.
This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States.
