Hybrid & Cloud Engineering
Responsibilities
Provide leadership to support, grow, and empower the teams responsible for supporting on-premise compute servers, cloud strategy, public cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and our telecom teams.
Be a champion for innovation – understand and articulate trends that create business and financial value for the organization.
Be aware of emergency technologies and their impact on the business; work with technology architecture to sponsor and evangelize new technologies across the enterprise.
Work with partners within technology and key business segments to understand business needs while identifying and leveraging synergies across the enterprise and support of business goals.
Lead collaboration with the product, engineering and IT security teams to design and build world class infrastructure that enables 24×7 high performance/availability that focuses on reliability and scalability of our cloud platform.
Lead the cloud team and collaborate with business units to coordinate efforts and activities to execute on the company’s Cloud strategy.
Maintain currency through an active life cycle process for all infrastructure components.
Partner with our call center operations team to align our technology strategy to business direction and outcomes.
Oversee the planning and delivery of cloud transformation initiatives, and develop goals aligned with customer needs, delivery speed, and cost and service objectives.
Lead teams to automate and ensure that infrastructure is provided through Infrastructure as Code or through APIs.

Provide support, advice, and advocacy to internal customers on technical solutions; resolving issues, and finding options to meet business requirements.
Promote and review cloud engineering offerings, engagement process and feedback look to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
Develop opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration, and excellent service delivery.

Knowledge and Experience
10+ years of related IT business work experience with 6+ years of experience leading and building High performing technical teams.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
MBA desired.
Working understanding of code and script, such as Shell and PowerShell, Python, and Perl.
Automating environment builds to support DevOps (Configuration as Code).
Experience in creating and governing reference engineering processes and artifact portfolios that clearly link business and technical requirements to the strategic architectures, solution designs and technology strategies being used to satisfy them.
Capacity management and data center management experience.
Effective communicator with a strong customer service orientation; ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels, and lead and influence senior professionals.
Strong analytical skills to support problem troubleshooting, resolution, and root cause determination to complex technology issues.
