NOTE: AT THIS TIME >> US Citizen or Permanent residents only Position: DevOps Engineer Location: Salt Lake City, Utah Metro Area (Hybrid Remote in the area) Term: FULL TIME opportunity (NO contract) Pay: $100-$140K (DOE) bonus excellent benefits GENERAL SUMMARY Apply strong system engineering skills to the design, development, implementation, integration, and support of enterprise systems.
Position will require the ability to design solutions to business problems which require an intimate knowledge of system engineering, software engineering, security engineering, and network engineering.
Will work independently and in conjunction with a team of engineers.
Must exhibit a strong willingness to learn new technologies as they relate to this position.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, build, maintain, document, and automate technical processes and operations using AWS, Gitlab, and Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with Analysts, Engineers, and Security to design infrastructure that accounts for capacity planning, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity.
Recommend and leverage best practices that will sustain and allow scalability.
Improve automated cloud configuration, deployments, monitoring, management, and incident response.
Work with CI/CD tools to deliver infrastructure as code: Azure DevOps, Gitlab, AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline.
Assist with incidents, troubleshoot and resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, identify and resolve problems.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 5 years of experience in system administration/engineering.
Experience with AWS (EC2, Route53, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda, etc).
AWS Solutions Architect – Associate preferred.
Experience with Windows and nix environments.
Demonstrated proficiency with scripting languages such as: Bash, Python, Ruby, Powershell, or similar.
Experience with infrastructure migration, virtualization, and cloud computing required.
Kubernetes experience is a must Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and/or Puppet is required.
KEY CORE SKILLS: Position requires knowledge of infrastructure as code; DevOps; commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures; use data extraction and analysis tools; ability to use active listening skills; effective written and verbal communication.
