Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of marketing experience in the games industry.
2 years of experience in B2B marketing.
Experience in game development in some form, whether direct or indirect.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience at a video game platform in a marketing capacity.
Experience demonstrating thought-leadership and relationship management with senior stakeholders as well as external partners.
Understanding of Google’s strategic and competitive position pertaining to the games industry at large.
Demonstrated ability to work with creative agencies and conceptualize creative solutions for engaging and inspiring users (both developers and players).
Comfortable operating in a rapidly changing, fast paced industry with the ability to effectively manage multifaceted projects with a variety of stakeholders.

Whether you’re on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product’s journey.
From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base.
This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more.
In this role, you’ll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

This role is for a highly organized and passionate marketing manager who has been successful in understanding the needs of game developers and building product narratives, strategies and Go-To-Market plans to serve those needs in the past.
You have an understanding of how game developers work, what resonates with them from a marketing messaging perspective and how to work cross-functionally to build new public offerings for that audience.
You understand the development process and potential pain points and know how to position solutions for how to solve them, all with minimal oversight.
You should be comfortable managing both strategy and execution, from digital marketing strategy to developer user journeys, and thrive in ambiguity and are always up for a challenge.

Responsibilities
Manage all outbound marketing communications targeting developers.
Build out Stadia.dev to facilitate to the future of independent developers on Stadia.
Construct Go-To-Market plans for marketing moments throughout the year and work across Google to drive the necessary business results.
Work throughout Team Stadia to be “the voice of the developer” and be their point of contact in all conversations.
Remain flexible to adapt to the needs of the business and things that might fall outside of the words in this job description.
