THE OPPORTUNITY
Candidate Competencies and Requirements:
- You’re comfortable deep-diving into technology with more experienced developers and can use what you learn to explain developer workflows to a variety of audiences.
- You are looking for mentoring and want to grow amongst some of the most experienced engineers.
- You can adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
- Agile and XP experience is not required, but our client is open to it and valuing it is a must.
- Coding experience can be non-professional but you must be able to code in a backend language preferably Python or Ruby
- Code schools are great and their welcome it this is an opportunity to accelerate your growth and career as a serious engineer even if this is a career shift for you
- Experience blogging and a writing sample of a technical blog post/or technical stack overflow answer are required
- This an entirely remote job they do have offices in LA, SF, Chicago, Boulder, NYC and Boise that you are welcome to work out of being in the US is not required but working PST hours is required
- Must be fluent in speaking and writing in English
What you’ll be working on
The mission of Developer Evangelism is to ensure that our client’s marketing and evangelism represent the mastery of skill and quality of experience that clients get on a project. This includes, but is not limited to: making sure their product, messaging, open source repos, and integrations are world-class.
The Role:
- Working closely with their most experienced engineers to produce content for
- Conferences (eg pycon, velocity conf, cto forum, and aws reinvent)
- Their blog
- Tech/dev events
- Some of the largest developer content channels in the world such as o’reilly and plural site
- Creation and pairing execution of
- Speeches
- Posts
- Open source work
- Creation of other materials for Developer Advocacy.
- Conduct interviews with notable engineers and founders via phone, podcasts, video, and in-person.

ABOUT THE HIRING PROCESS:
