This position offers work with a dedicated team with a tremendous amount of ability to innovate, influence, and enable how engineering teams deliver an innovative streaming solution that includes state-of-the-art cloud and on-prem storage, Apache Flink, open-source Pravega, and Kubernetes, to name a few.

Pravega is storage for streams and pioneered at Dell EMC.

It exposes stream as a core storage abstraction and provides a software foundation to build rich streaming analytics leveraging ML/AI.

Streams are unbounded and elastic while guaranteeing strong consistency guarantees.

Pravega is a very young project, and we have already opened our repository to establish a community (http://pravega.Io).

Responsibilities
·People Management of a team of 10+ engineers; Provide guidance, help to grow their skill level and roles
·Drive, deliver software product aligned with the product road-map and business priorities
·Work closely with other scrum teams, cross-site and cross-functional teams, to ensure the right quality product is delivered as committed
·Work on improving the productivity, efficiency, and scrum maturity of the team
·Lead, encourage, and facilitate innovation in the team
·Engage closely with product technologists, product management towards driving our common goals
·Develops and provides challenging yet appropriate assignments, evaluates work, and communicates progress toward career development and goals Essential Requirements
·Total-experience to be 12+ of which people management experience of 4+ years
·Experience with Enterprise product development & Java technologies
·Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies, secure development life cycle, and project management
·Impeccable communication skills and ability to influence teams and peers to achieve higher goals
·Experience with the enterprise development work environment (such as JIRA, Git, Unit test frameworks, etc.)
·Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
·Strong software development skills
·Ability to hire and retain top engineering talent Desirable Requirements
·Ability to work with open-source communities
·Knowledge of stream analytics
