Data Engineer / Developer
(Up to $110K salary)
Innovative role that will expose you to various data and programming technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain data pipelines that integrates data from a variety of sources and systems.
- Develop and test data systems that support our data intelligence and client focused teams.
- Clean, parse, aggregate and integrate raw data sets, including that from third-party APIs.
- Design ETL processes using first-party data from various client resources.
- Create strategies for data aggregation within various databases, data lakes, relational and non-relational databases.
- Work with BI tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
- Develop APIs for data ingestion into client-side applications or client-side data systems.
- Identify new technologies and best practices for configurations, data access tools, and data storage solutions.
Experience Desired:
- Several years of hands-on data engineering experience within a production environment.
- Experience with data structures, relationships, and flows behind company databases and applications.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
- Knowledge of Python and Spark for building data pipelines or ETL (Pyspark is preferred).
- Experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure technologies/infrastructure.
- Experience with SQL, MySQL or other related database technologies.
- Working knowledge with Python and data wrangling libraries.
- Knowledge of PII (personally identifiable information) data security standards is a plus.
- Experience in databases structured against survey data is highly desired.
- Media and Entertainment domain knowledge and experience a big plus.
