ABC Owned Television Stations is seeking a strong candidate for the role of Content Systems Engineer.This full-time role is hands on and is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting mission critical media systems supporting various departments across the enterprise, primarily media production.
If being on the cutting edge of the latest media technologies excites you, we want to hear from youThis role can sit at any of Disney’s OTV locations, which are:Raleigh, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Fresno.Responsibilities :Design and implement new technologies and workflows to support short and long-term business goalsDevelop relationships with stations/departments across the country to understand system needs and pain pointsContinuously optimize workflows for quality, efficiency, and speed across the enterpriseProvide support and troubleshooting for mission critical applications by working with both internal and external teams to drive a timely resolution of issuesPerform routine maintenance and regular upgrades to all applications and hardwareMaintain operational and technical documentation for systemsBasic Qualifications :Minimum of two years of broadcast/engineering experienceAdvanced knowledge of media workflow and orchestration systems such as Telestream Vantage, IBM Aspera, Dalet Galaxy, etc.Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languagesKnowledge of public cloud solutions (primarily AWS) and traditional on-premises solutions (VMware, NetApp Storage, etc.)Understanding of video storage and playout systems and their workflows (transcoding, archiving, etc.) as well as non-linear editing systems (Adobe Premiere)Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing requirementsAbility to work early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed for outages and/or maintenance windows, and participate in the department’s on-call rotationPreferred Qualifications:Project management experience is a plusRequired Education :Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Broadcast Engineering, or equivalent experienceAdditional Information :OTVSMEDIA
