This position will support the Boeing Space & Launch Software Development and Integration Capability, within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.

A successful candidate will lead a diverse group of junior-level through senior-level real-time/embedded software engineers to develop innovative spacecraft software/architecture solutions in a fun and rewarding environment.

The candidate will oversee teams in various phases of maturity, spanning from project inception through operational sustainment, for both program-unique and product-line projects.Position Responsibilities:Leads activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.Leads software research and development projects.Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.Trains and mentors others.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

A final U.S.

Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):3+ years experience with real-time software architecture and design methodologiesExperience in C++ Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years experience leading Agile teams for software & systems engineeringHands-on software architecture experience with complex systems design and integration involving hardware I/O, networking and layered frameworksUnix/Linux and/or embedded RTOS experience involving multi-processing, container architectures, virtual machines and secure partitioningEmbedded multi-core ARM processor architectureReal-time flight and controls algorithmsAtlassian & Git CI/DevSecOps toolsAdditional programming languages and frameworks Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience).
