Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Maritime Undersea Associate Engineer located in Herndon, VA or Huntington Beach, CA who is highly motivated and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment to design, architect, and implement software for advanced systems in development.

The position is for our proprietary programs under our Integrated Missions portfolio, and may provide the occasional opportunity to travel to accomplish knowledge transfer and collaboration with the technical team at each site.

Position Responsibilities: Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional embedded software systemSupports software research and development projects under the guidance of a mentorAssists with documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsAssists with test procedures and documenting test resultsWorks hands-on with system hardware to develop interfaces and associated documentationSelf-motivated with ability to work in team environmentDesign and write clean, extensible and scalable code leveraging industry best practicesPerform code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and best practicesDevelop documentation and design materials, and recommend best design practicesAssists with technical problem solving, creatively meeting product objectives, and developing best practicesUse responsive design to provide an optimal experience across all devicesCreate rich, interactive user-experiences with modern technologies with a focus on performance, scalability, security and maintainability Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires an active Top Secret / SCI U.S.

Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)1+ years of experience in Java or C++ for object-oriented programming Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with Agile software developmentHands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in betweenExperience with industry standard software development toolsets such as the Atlassian suite, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

Master).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
