For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Quality Engineering Functional Manager (Virtual) based out of Long Beach, California and does NOT require candidates to be based there.

This position will require some travel.

You will be the Software Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager over a team of SQEs performing functional support for the SQE organization.

This is mostly a virtual position with very minimal travel.

You will interact with the Enterprise SQE Senior Manager, the Enterprise Software Engineering Integration and Test team, and other program SQE managers to understand needs, align priorities and approaches, level set performance expectations.

Your team will define SQE process assets and drive commonality across the company.

Your team will manage SQE tools, define SQE performance metrics and analyze for trends and improvement goals.

Your team will also develop SQE training and other SQE skill development aids.

You will not only manage staffing and performance, but will passionately motivate and lead your team through an organizational change which requires an enhanced infrastructure supporting SQE excellence across the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:Manages employees performing process improvements and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering.

Develops and executes organizational process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in (Long Beach, California).

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.A final U.S.

Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree5+ years of experience supporting software development programs Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Security ClearanceAgile methodologiesSoftware quality experience Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
