The position provides an opportunity work with an experienced, interdisciplinary teams to develop or modify test systems in order to meet the challenging test requirements of our business partners and customers.
The engineering function of Boeing Test and Evaluation El Segundo(BT& E-ES) creates automated test systems and the hardware products used by our test operations teams onsite and at satellite launches.
For test systems and hardware products, our group is accountable for all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, requirements and design, integration, test, verification and product maintenance.
Given our typical 12 month cycle for development, we are looking for people that value the skills development that occurs in working a variety of diverse assignments alongside system architects and electrical engineers in a collaborative team environment.
Engineers must maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various softwareproducts; develop detailed designs of varying levels of complexity for special test equipment (STE); conduct various methodsof testing and verification of special test equipment (STE); provide basic engineering support and change control throughout the lifecycle of delivered products; and implement Model Based Engineering (MBE).
Position Responsibilities:Develops code and integrates complex software components into a fully functional system.Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, execute the test procedures and documents test results to ensure software system requirements are met.Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solvingAnalyzes and supports factory support issues related to software/hardware integrationDevelop test architecture for software products (Test Executives, T& C Engine, Tools)Develops and executes software project and process plans, implements policies and proceduresDevelop new interfaces for new instruments and systems in C, C#, .Net and other object oriented languages as well as experience in scripting languages Python, TCL, and LinuxEnhance test case architecture for Bus and RF product testingBuild software environment for testing in the factory and oversee smooth execution of testingLead a team of 4+ engineers and execute full software development cycle to completion This position allows telecommuting.

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
