Find your future with us.Boeing is currently seeking a Spacecraft Flight Software Lead to join their team in El Segundo, CA.

This position will support the Boeing Space & Launch Software Development and Integration Capability, within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.A successful candidate will lead a diverse group of junior-level through senior-level real-time/embedded software engineers to develop innovative spacecraft software/architecture solutions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The candidate will oversee teams in various phases of maturity, spanning from project inception through operational sustainment, for both program-unique and product-line projects.Position Responsibilities:Leads software architecture development for a next generation spacecraft computer, collaborating with a cross-functional team of electronics, hardware and systems engineersDesigns board support and software interfaces to avionics and payload sensors and actuators, communication busses, space and ground networksLeads spacecraft control and mission software application development and verification team in an agile secure development environment This position allows telecommuting.

The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degreeExtensive experience with real-time software architectures and embedded software design methodologies10+ years Software team leadership experience across full software development lifecycle, excellent inter-personal communication skills10+ years Hands-on experience in C/C++, operating systems, I/O drivers, networking, and object-oriented design Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience leading Agile teams for software & systems engineeringUnix/Linux and/or embedded RTOS experience involving multi-processing, container architectures, virtual machines and secure partitioningEmbedded multi-core ARM processor architectureReal-time flight and controls algorithmsAtlassian & Git CI/DevSecOps toolsAdditional programming languages and frameworks Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
