Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Embedded Networking Senior Software Engineer to join the Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex System (GEDMS) program located in Huntington Beach, CA.
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.
The business further supports customer missions and payloads needs through proprietary programs and by providing acoustics systems, integrated shipboard systems, tactical communications systems and advanced mission solutions.
Gigabit Ethernet Data Multiplex System (GEDMS) is an accredited ship-wide Platform Information Technology (PIT) control system data network that is the latest variant of Boeings AN/USQ-82(V) family of shipboard networks.
The system is designed for use on U.S.
Navy Surface Combatants, Carriers and Amphibious ships including the Arleigh Burke class of destroyers, DDG-51 and follow-on derivatives, and Aegis Ashore installations.
Position Responsibilities: Candidate will work with GEDMS senior software engineers in the development of networking and cyber software and Applications for US Navy ships.Develop and maintain code, and integrate software components into a fully functional software system.Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, execute test procedures and document test results to ensure software system requirements are met.The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location.
This position allows some telecommuting.

vxWorks).Experience with IP networking protocols (ICMP, ARP, IGMP, RIP, DHCP etc.) and techniques.Experience with translating between IP and lower layer legacy protocols.Experience with Linux configuration process, and how to tailor Linux for embedded hardware.Familiarity and experience with network and software cybersecurity practices Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
