The available positions are for level 3 and level 4 engineers to join any of the following locations: Long Beach CA, Mesa AZ, Berkeley MO, or Plano TX.
As part of Boeing AvionX Utilities this position will support the architecture, development, deployment and certification of a CI/CD environment for large software systems that span multiple virtual, cloud based, developmental and production hardware environments.
Support the integration and test of complex software components into fully functional software systems.
The organization and your work will allow for the successful development and production of multiple Avionics Software/Hardware Systems for use on both BCA and BDS platforms while working with a global distributed team of software engineers.

Position Responsibilities:Develop and Enhance our CI/CD operations in multiple software system integration and test environmentsPerform in the entire software development life cycle of the CI/CD pipelineCollaborate on idea creation and development of the CI/CD pipelineSupport the ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the CI/CD pipelineSupport the software quality efforts of our Boeing product deliveries to our customersSupports development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.Supports development of software integration/verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.Supports development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.Tracks and evaluates software team performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.Agile product developmentContinuous integration, testing, and deliveryAutomated system testing, integration, and deploymentWork closely with developers, testers, and system engineers from multiple product teamsSuggest modifications to the CI/CD workflow to improve efficiencyResearch and pitch new tools/products to the team This position allows telecommuting.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry1+ years of experience with Automation and CI/CD techniques and design patterns1+ years of experience programming in either Java, Python, or C++ Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Direct practical experience and advanced knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment.Understanding of designing and implementing full stack/Microservice infrastructure.Have the ability to set up, and manage a tool-chain using tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, MatLab, LDRA, SonarQube and more.Experience with SaaS architectures and cloud based developmentExperience with DO-178C/DO-330 certification Typical Education/Experience:Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
