nn Job Summary nn AVI-SPL has a great opportunity available for a skilled AV and Network Engineer.
The deployment of new demo and digital experiences across the 5G Lab locations will present support challenges to the teams given the lack of technical resources deployed across the footprint.
This person will help develop a current and future support model to support the evolution and expansion of the Labs.
nn n nn nn Essential Duties and Responsibilities nn Provide administration and maintenance of IT and audio/visual equipment including, but not limited to, firewalls, routers, switches, PCs, Servers, wireless LAN devices, amps, AV switchers Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and coordinate repairs to assigned IT and audio/visual equipment Serve as site point of contact for all IT and AV related issues Create and maintain documentation as needed Provide client training as needed Provide assistance to various business groups with integration, access and testing of new technology that is to be demonstrated while connected to the network Ensure compliance with all customer safety, security and procedural guidelines at all times Some travel required Other duties assigned as needed nn n nn nn Skills and Abilities nn Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues Ability to manage small to medium projects Ability to think and work independently and ensuring to meet deadlines Minor AV programming capability Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control Knowledge of IT space, power, cooling and patch bay connections using Cat-6/Cat-6A cabling Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards nn nn nn Education and/or Experience nn Minimum five (5) years of experience managing and maintaining wired and wireless IP networks with Cisco routing and switching equipment College degree or specific industry training is required.
Military electronics training and experience in field support of related technology is acceptable Minimum Cisco Certification CCNA or CCNP in routing and switching (special emphasis on wireless networking desired) Previous support of audio/visual environments is required Preferred training and/or experience: Microsoft PCs and Server Mobile device technologies (including LTE) Cisco Meraki networks Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP Audio/visual switching Video Production
