The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Space Systems Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) (Level 2) to support our Space & Launch programs in El Segundo, CA. This is a 1st shift position.
You will participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including concept of operations (ConOps) development, requirements development, analysis and decomposition, software and hardware system design, algorithm design, risk management, integration, test and operations. The successful candidate will develop and utilize Digital Twins and create MBSE architectures for advanced space systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support system and sub-system level Digital Twin development and implementation
- Create MBSE architectures and models
- Support ConOps development, requirements definition, multi-segment interface definition, architecture integration, functional analysis, and system design activities
- Support system level trade studies and briefings
- Support system level integration and test planning and execution, including functional validation as well as formal requirements sell-off
This position requires an active/current U.S. Security Clearance with successful completion of a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have you been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Experience with model based systems engineering
Preferred (Preferred) Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering approaches, methods, and techniques
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
- Familiarity with SQL/Access, MATLAB, C++, C#, Java
Typical Education / Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor’s with 2 or more years’ experience, Master’s degree with experience or PhD. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
