In addition, here at AbilityPath we stand for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.What we Value:Passion for the missionTeamwork and CollaborationEffective communication thoughtfulness and ability to adaptShared commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in creating a community where all members can thrive as their authentic selfAbout the Role:AbilityPath will support the employment specialist to accomplish a variety of goals upon hiring, these include but are not limited to:Identifies new business contracts by researching industry best practices, new services, customized employment and related trends Locates and proposes potential Adult Services business deals by contacting potential employment partners; discovering and exploring new opportunitiesResponsible for identification and development of individual sitesCloses new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.Responsible for employment placements of employment for participantsWork directly with trainees to develop interviewing skills and build effective resumes; assists trainees in completing job applications as neededPrepare monthly reports as requestedInsure timely communication on the status of placement traineesComply with participant’s rights, Community Gatepath and program policies, CARF standards, NPS compliance, CCL regulations, CAL-OSHA, quality assurance standards, etc.Knowledge and understanding of: marketing techniques; staffing industry;the industrial and business community; rehabilitation process and operation of a rehabilitation facilityAbility to provide engaging instruction to participants with various developmental levels, skill sets, and behaviors Education and Work Experience:Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and ability is qualifying, unless otherwise specified.Associate’s or Bachelor’s in relevant fieldExperience working with adults with developmental disabilities HIRING REQUIREMENTS:Valid California Driver’s License/IDClean driving record (if applicable)Proof of negative TB test results and COVID 19 VaccineVerification of good physical clearanceCriminal fingerprint clearanceAt least 18 years of age or job permit clearancePhysical Activity:Accommodations made upon request to Human ResourcesAbility to physically respond to adults with developmental disabilitiesAbility to lift/support at least 40 lbs as neededAbility to sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequentlyAbility to walk for extended periods of time and support adults with developmental disabilities on community outingsAbility to drive company vehicles to transport participantsAbility to sit and keyboard as needed Equal Employment OpportunityAbilityPath is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
