Description/Job Summary

Job Description: The contract Talent and Acquisition Recruiter has overall responsibility for the delivery of Talent & Acquisition transactional processes and reporting, as well as leading the progression of the function and the broadening of the scope of services provided. Future state of the HR Service Center may include multi-region focus (e.g.,East, West, Southwest, Southeast, North and South), expanded services beyond basic transactional support; as well as extending reach into supporting adjacent areas such as Global Mobility, and Staffing/Recruiting process standardization, centralization and all employee relations and HR support.

This role will ensure smooth integration with other company functions including; due diligence, integration planning, execution and transition, employee relations, HR strategy projects, employee communications and may include the following responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities 70% of the time:

  • Design and implement a local recruiting strategy

  • Develop and employ traditional sourcing strategies and resources

  • Seek out candidates with the right combination of experience, education and skills to fill a variety of security positions

  • Develop and executing formal Recruiting Plans ensuring the timely delivery of resources, candidates and alignment with corporate goals and strategies

  • Prepare and post jobs to appropriate job boards, newspapers, colleges, etc. as needed

  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications

  • Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates

  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes

  • Ensure all administrative duties, record keeping, and metrics are kept current within 15 days of occurrence

  • Maintain Open Post Log, and candidate status reports

  • Participate in weekly recruiting and strategy meetings

  • Attend and host virtual Job Partner with regional senior leadership team for all Human Resource related activities

  • Other duties as assigned.

Team Member Engagement (Pre-Employment-On-Boarding, Training) 20% of the time:

  • Assist with region recruitment activities as needed

  • Assist with onboarding new hire employees

  • Conducting virtual new hire orientation as needed

  • Work with Lead recruiter and assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork

  • Maintaining recruiting metrics and analytics

  • Work with HR team with onboarding, termination and exiting process for all employees,

  • Assist in the Human Resource vision to refine, and oversee the on-boarding process for the entire organization including annual onboarding and onboarding

  • Support managers through on-boarding, terminations and exits

  • Responsible for region pre and post-employment activities

HR Systems Responsibilities 10% of the time:

  • Responsible for employee life cycle HRIS data entry and updates

  • Creating offer letters for new hire candidates

  • Creating new employee profiles in ADP and Valiant systems

  • As needed, assist with the development, preparation, and analysis of ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data collection

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant related field required.

  • Resume that shows a steady progression in HR Management for the last 5 years of human resources, preferably in a growing and dynamic multi-site organization with at least 500+ employees in a union environment

  • Nuanced relationship building skills; possesses a high level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness and the ability to relate/influence across a diverse range of stakeholders

  • Experience designing strategic and effective talent development practices (e.g., onboardings, trainings etc.)

  • Collaborative and team-player; encourages participation from all members of the team and seeks feedback and ideas from team members at all levels

  • Client-service oriented; relishes the challenge of new finding ways to provide better, more efficient support

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment with a proven ability to meet and complete multiple deadlines and tasks

  • Extensive experience managing Human Resources functional activities in the context of business acquisitions, mergers, or in Human Resource Business Partner role working with recent acquisitions

  • Proven success interacting with senior management to determine solutions, resolve issues, and present recommendations at a senior level

  • A critical thinker, constantly scanning the environment for ways to optimize processes, tools, and templates to manage complex and ever-changing business needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator and strong influencer – has the ability to partner with people at different levels within and outside of the HR function

  • Proficient in standard spreadsheet, project management, presentation and collaboration tools, including Excel/Google Sheets, Google Slides and PowerPoint

  • Build strong relationships and collaborates effectively across boundaries and cultures

  • Travel may be required
