The Role

We are looking for a Senior Director of Recruiting, experienced in inspiring their teams in a fast-paced high-growth environment.

We want someone who is indispensable, a proactive communicator, passionate about developing teams, strong executive presence, self-motivated, innately positive, relentlessly curious, and works with a sense of urgency.

You will advise and influence your teams through data abased decisions while being collaborative and working diligently to understand the nuanced needs of your team.

As the Senior Director, you will work as a strategic consultant to our leaders across all of Material.

This role reports directly to the SVP of Talent Acquisition and will manage other managers as well as a team of recruiters, coordinators, and researchers.

Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Encourage, grow and cultivate a team of 3-7 recruiting professionals to deliver against business hiring needs while meeting quality expectations.
  • Manage full life cycle recruitment (researching, screening, interviewing, and closing) for multiple job requisitions by collaborating with a variety of hiring managers for roles across all levels of the business.
  • Play a crucial role in crafting Material’s future by identifying and hiring world-class talent.

    You will be a strategic business partner who demonstrates expertise in your field and collaborates with teams to fill their needs.

  • Adapt quickly to changing hiring priorities by formulating plans to fill new roles quickly while brainstorming with hiring managers to assemble powerful sourcing strategies for each search.

Requirements

About you

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 10
    – 12 year(s) experience in full cycle recruiting for all levels across multiple fields preferably with Marketing or Market Research recruiting experience.
  • 5+ years managing, coaching, and developing a team.
  • A creative problem solver comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment driven to contribute to Materials reputation, growth and success.
  • A proven track record of taking the initiative, using consultative skills and building strong, productive relationships.
  • A strategic thought partner who excels in influencing and partnering with all levels of management including the executive leadership team
  • Values an excellent candidate experience that champions clear communication, diverse perspectives and backgrounds, and a transparent process.
  • Innovative, extremely creative, and has the ability to analytically look at systems and processes to identify areas to improve upon.
  • Demonstrated skills in all aspects of recruiting such as networking, sourcing, qualifying, screening, negotiating/closing headcount forecasting and relationship management.
  • Experience implementing new systems a plus.
