Position Summary:

The Technical College Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. This role will focus on University, Technical College, High School recruitment throughout the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Attending college and technical college job fairs for interacting with graduating students as well as for promoting our company’s employer brand
  • Screening resumes, conducting interviews, performing skills assessment, and evaluating candidates for internships and junior positions
  • Hosting career events for recent graduates and students belonging to relevant fields/departments
  • Developing job ads for attracting potential candidates
  • Designing and placing print advertisements/brochures/giveaways on college campuses
  • Advertising current job openings to college, technical, and high school alumni communities
  • Contacting colleges and tech colleges career counselors for providing informative brochures about our company’s internship programs
  • Liaising with other teams for designing internship programs and defining hiring needs
  • Building and maintaining good relations with educational institutions
  • Reporting on the success of every career event using recruiting metrics (e.g. number of interviewed/hired candidates etc.)
  • Source and recruit candidates using databases, social media, leads programs, etc.
  • Work in tandem with department managers in the hiring and onboarding of new representatives.
  • Advance the company employer brand and candidate marketing strategies across the US.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the college recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Sourcing resumes, building talent pipelines utilizing various methods (i.e., networking, referrals, online searches, Internet postings, job/career fairs, local colleges, hospitality groups, etc.).
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Plan and support Military recruitment projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of exempt and non-exempt roles.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least three years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
  • University recruitment experience.
  • Military recruitment experience a plus.
  • Ability to hold project teams accountable in driving change initiatives.

Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
