Our People Systems Architects play a key role in guiding the continued design, maintenance, and support of a specific functional area within Workday. The Senior People Systems Analyst – Workday Payroll will have responsibility for the successful implementation, integration, and customization of the Workday application from change feasibility to roll-out. The successful candidate will have business process architect experience gathering requirements, designing, delivering, and supporting business transformation using Workday in areas of Payroll and Payroll Interfaces Under the Manager, People Systems – Payroll, Comp, and Benefits we seek to centralize ownership of our HR tech stack and decision-making in a fully focused, dedicated team.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable, flexible solutions that are extensible to future business needs in areas of Payroll, Payroll Interfaces, and Security.
  • Design and implement Workday requirements for Payroll. Partner with the Integration team for the Payroll Interfaces.
  • Demonstrate creative solutions and configurations using prototyping.
  • Serve as the Payroll and Payroll Interfaces Workday SME when working with members of the Integration Team
  • Document technology specifications for current and future configuration.
  • Act as the Payroll and Payroll Interfaces domain lead for feature releases and issue resolution, working with business users, People Systems Product Team, Payroll team, and support teams to define scope, prioritize, plan and implement system changes and enhancements.
  • Architect Workday Payroll and Payroll Interfaces solutions to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience enough to perform the key accountabilities of the job required
  • 5+ years of experience with Workday HCM including Payroll, Payroll Interfaces, and Security
  • Workday Payroll Pro or Certification highly preferred
  • Project management experience. Agile Project Management and experience using JIRA highly preferred
  • Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretely handle sensitive and confidential information

This role is designated as ‘Remote Mode,’ and employees are not expected to report into a Better office at any time.
