We exist to serve our athletes, and the Sr. Payroll Analyst, Global Payroll Transformation, is responsible for defining and documenting requirements, identifying and executing process optimization, and working with technology partners to deliver world-class payroll operations at Nike. This role will part of the global payroll team on our Workday HCM implementation, payroll vendor out-sourcing, and optimization projects.

The Sr. Payroll analyst will execute the global payroll end-to-end re-engineering, optimization, and transformation process, driving efficient, automated, well-controlled payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have deep payroll expertise and a proven track record in complex payroll implementations, including experience with documenting requirements and test plans, executing UAT and parallel testing, and remediating issues by partnering with technology and implementation partners.

This position reports to the Director, Global Payroll Transformation Lead

Primary Responsibilities:

  • As a Senior payroll analyst, execute end to end payroll vendor out-sourcing, global process alignment, and optimization in preparation for Workday HCM implementation.
  • Responsible for table/field mapping, configuration, UAT, vendor and WD parallel testing, and launch of Workday US payroll module as we transition from SAP.
  • Responsible for providing direction, training, and coaching to payroll team members.
  • Implement standards, quality measures, KPIs and manage our vendors and implementation partners to deliver services to build a strong foundation for today and future needs.
  • Assess and re-engineer end-to-end processes, including controls, needed, and audit requirements.
  • Drive ongoing process optimization and continuous process improvement to ensure that efficiency and effectiveness measures are met.
  • Develop positive relationships with Finance, Total Rewards, Technology, and other HR & Accounting functions to ensure holistic delivery of payroll outcomes (tax, compliance, reporting, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
  • Experience in Workday HCM / US Payroll implementation at enterprise scale in a multi-national environment with at least 50,000+ employees.
  • Experience in integrating Workday HCM with vendor payroll solutions.
  • 5+ years of payroll administration and payroll implementation.
  • Ability to lead projects, inspire team participants, and local payroll operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate plans across a multi-functional and/or highly matrixed organization on a corporate, regional, and functional basis.
  • Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses.
  • SAP payroll experience a plus.
