Senior Analyst, Payroll

Join our ‘ohana and be a part of an exciting team of professionals dedicated to serving our kama’āina and introducing our islands to the world Position Overview The Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and driving process improvements with other members of the HR Ops team.

Maintains a thorough understanding of the entire payroll cycle and runs payroll processes and identifies potential errors and partners with the Payroll Manager to resolve.

This position opens opportunities to learn about the airline industry and process payroll for US and foreign locations.

The Analyst will need to execute a wide variety of complex payroll functions, which includes processing payroll for global and US locations, in a unionized and dynamic work environment.

We currently have 6500 employees (50 working globally).

This position reports to the Payroll Manager.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees in accordance with Company policy, union contracts and federal/state regulations as well as customer service standards Schedule, prepare and review payrolls worldwide on a rotating schedule of pay groups Perform an analytical detail audit of payrolls processed Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations Execute on Payroll Improvements Work to execute improvements of payroll processes and seek out continuous improvement.

Work with the Payroll Manager to identify and resolve payroll errors Payroll Reporting Produce quarterly and year-end payroll expense reporting Compliance Maintain the confidentiality, accuracy and security of payroll and time & attendance data and adhere to documented payroll process and key internal controls over financial reporting (including compliance with SOX) Leadership and Collaboration Serve as an escalation point for incoming questions and requests and support the People Relations Managers and Payroll Administrator in responding to inquiries Create and maintain documentation of payroll team procedures and policies Collaborate with the HR Ops Team to ensure effective integration of time & attendance data and the HRIS systems with payroll systems and processes Other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience At least 5 years of experience working in Accounting, Payroll or equivalent field Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax reporting requirements At least 1 year of experience with vendor management At least 3 years of experience successfully managing confidential information At least 3 years of experience with time and attendance systems Strong proficiency n Word and Excel All applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted, and they must successfully pass the drug test.
