The SAP Payroll Product Consultant is responsible for the development, maintenance, consultation, and general ownership of the Alight Solutions Point of View (PoV) related to the SAP product area they support.
The SAP Payroll Product Consultant will work with the deployment team, operations groups, and other key decision makers to ensure the POV is accounting for SAP updates, client project learnings and that teams are aware of the changes and direction.
They will ensure the PoV is efficient, competitive, and driven by market standards.
In addition to these responsibilities, they will own the initial input to the deal model during the sales process as well as represent the Alight Solutions PoV in sales pursuits, serving as subject matter expert support to the sales team, speaking with the client on matters related to the Payroll operational solution and Statement of Work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibility Areas Represent the Overall SAP Payroll Product Strategy and Roadmap Collaborate with Clients, Operations and Analysts to evolve the PoV Provide a voice to customer’s and the market on Alight Solutions’ direction Assist in the sales process to represent the payroll operational PoV and offer Provide for, lead, identify, and/or innovate ideas for improving the PoV regarding the SAP BPO offer Lead client consultative sessions on operational readiness related to running payroll on SAP Attend engagements, including speaking engagements, supporting Sales and Alight as a payroll subject matter expert Educate Client Teams and our Clients on PoV Changes related to SAP product updates.
Create and maintain PoV documents and base artifacts.
Business Planning Participate/consult on initiatives to expand our POV and technical bolt on products supporting payroll Work with leaders and other subject matter experts on projects related to our services support on payroll globally Relationship Management Provide the focal point with clients for the product in both sales and ongoing operations Support client solution development for on-going services support or service transitions Communicate effectively with the client and internal partners for analysis/resolution Participate in meetings to discuss identified issues and the impact on service delivery Lead client interactions related to the services solution, and facilitate client touch-points Build trusting partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders Work with BPO leadership, Client team leadership, or Implementation leadership to establish development priorities and balance expectations Participate in suggestion and/or champion standard practices and process improvement opportunities from a functional and technical perspective Look for opportunities to improve efficiencies (both onshore and offshore) Assess, mitigate, and/or escalate risk/opportunities, including, performance/delivery, adherence to Best Practices, standardized procedures & documentation Financial Management Accurate estimation of new deals Give input and/or drive effective cost management practices Drive cost effective products POSITION REQUIREMENTS Formal Education and Certification Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, CS, and/or equivalent work experience required Knowledge and Experience Experience working with Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) Industry knowledge 5 years client management or project management experience 3 years payroll experience, preferably on SAP Knowledge and understanding of payroll best practices Ability to understand operational impacts on payroll and solution to fit into our POV Consultative experience, focusing on the ability to influence approach to maximize an efficient and streamlined operational process Demonstrated proficient communication skills Experience communicating effectively with different levels of management and influencing multiple stakeholder groups Ability to solve problems within a business context Ability to create presentations and write business cases Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple priorities Project budgeting/costing knowledge Technical Skill Proficiency with MS Office Knowledge of MS Project Knowledge and ability to use requirements gathering tools Knowledge of SAP Payroll (ECP and/or On Prem) Work Conditions Office work environment Requires the ability to interact with others in multiple locations globally; this may require flexible hours Occasional evening and weekend work to meet business needs Frequent computer use at a workstation for extended periods of time Travel potential 25% By applying for a position with Alight, you understand that, should you be made an offer, it will be contingent on your undergoing and successfully completing a background check consistent with Alight’s employment policies.

The estimated minimum salary for this role is $69,100.00/year (full-time).
