Regional Human Resources Manager

Position Summary:As the Regional Human Resources Business Manager for California you will be responsible for the strategic workforce plan and labor relations strategy for five Core-Mark Divisions in the state.

You will oversee a team of HR Managers and Generalists sitting within these sites, supporting day to day operational excellence, driving recruitment efforts, and overseeing workers compensation, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and training functions.

A successful candidate will contribute to the development of leaders, strategically manage union relationships, be a diverse talent ally, provide equity in outcomes, and foster an environment of inclusion.

PositionResponsibilities:Develop and execute a California labor strategy for all five Divisions Optimize ways of working by development of infrastructure in policies and procedures within HRExecute effective development, employee relations, retention, and reward programsEnsure high levels of employee engagement in both union and non-union environmentsLead collective bargaining agreements and shop steward relationshipsProvide strategic partnership to the Division Presidents of the California Divisions and the SVP of the WestAttract, develop, and retain HR talent at all levels of the organization through our Core
– Values culture, therefore maintaining healthy attrition levelsFull cycle recruitment for all 5 Divisions through accurate and proactive workforce planningOversee the accurate preparation and distribution of Division payroll; tracking vacation, sick time, holidays, and other leaves.Oversee proper maintenance of personal records, Worker’s compensation open enrollment, status changes, payroll, and other reports/documentation.Supporting our Safety First culture through partnership with our Operations team Investigation and employee relations oversight Skills & Experiences:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources preferredMinimum of 8 years of HR experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.SHRM, PHR or PHRca certification preferredExtensive knowledge of California and federal employment laws and regulations.
