Recruiting & Legal Talent Office Manager

Law firm is seeking a Recruiting & Legal Talent Office Manager to join their Los Angeles office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • – Manage on campus and “pre-OCI” recruiting processes at selected California schools, including all campus logistics, communication with candidates and career services officers, etc.
  •  
  • – Support Los Angeles and Palo Alto Hiring Partners in executing strategy for their school teams, including organizing law school events, overseeing Firm sponsorship of student groups and driving candidate follow-up and outreach efforts
  •  
  • – Facilitate the on-campus interviewing process and act as Firm liaison for West Coast law schools
  •  
  • – Serve as the principal liaison with West Coast law school career placement personnel as well as Los Angeles market law firm recruiting managers
  •  
  • – Organize and execute a world-class summer associate program, including orientation, mentoring, evaluations and social events for summer associates
  •  
  • – Maintain recruiting data systems, including but not limited to working with PeopleSoft and Knowledge Management teams as needed
  •  
  • – Coordination and oversight of the Los Angeles associate advisor program and development and training initiatives
  •  
  • – Manage associate arrivals, including orientation and initial training
  •  
  • – Coordinate regular in-house attorney CLE meetings, including working with partners to ensure meeting meet applicable New York and California CLE Rules
  •  
  • – Assist attorneys with CLE compliance, including preparing progress reports and locating relevant program offerings
  •  
  • – Assist with identifying and planning Los Angeles-based D&I programs and activities
  •  
  • – Other duties may be assigned


Qualifications:

– At least three years legal recruiting experience required

– B.A. required
– JD preferred
– Knowledge of NALP recruiting practices and standards; knowledge of California CLE rules
– Computer expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
– Experience with PeopleSoft database helpful
