JLM Strategic Talent Partners is currently looking for a Certified Payroll Professional with experience in the construction industry to be a part of a major project in Los Angeles,CA.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a major project with a leading company in the industry with tremendous career growth.n n Responsibilitiesn Responsible for tracking Daily Timesheets for Craft/Union Employees (Input, Review and Approvals) in HCSS/Heavy Job and ADP.
Monitor any errors in timesheets submitted by running and analyzing reports in Heavy Job thoroughly Communicate and follow up in a timely manner with superintendents, field engineers, and foreman to correct any discrepancies found on timesheets.
Responsible for maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information accurate and confidential.
Run various monthly payroll reports and make corrections as require.
Prepare check requests for all union payments for processing through ADP, including the union remittance report and corresponding back-up.
Acts as liaison to the company for all payroll-related questions and issues while maintaining a strong customer service approach.n Prepare IRS Form W-2’s annually.
Other duties as assigned.
n n Requirementsn Payroll/Certified Payroll experience is required LCP Tracker software knowledge Must exhibit knowledge of employment practices in the construction industry and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the California Labor Code and Code of Regulations and Labor Compliance Programs.
Must possess a Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree from a recognized college or university in business or related degree Strong communication skills Professional, well organized individual looking to work in a fast paced environment Position requires discretion and a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documents Computer ability
