Payroll Analyst

· This position requires support for an aggressive Payroll team.

· Payroll is outsourced, so responsibilities could range from staging and testing payroll data for the Workday’s re-implementation project to semimonthly & biweekly reconciliation, State & Local tax, knowledge of payroll laws, root cause analysis, reporting, to assisting in completing year end payroll.

· The regular activities associated with generating accurate payrolls to the advanced understanding of general payroll practices, Compliance and SOX regulations.

· Duties could change as an opportunity present itself.

· Semi Monthly & Biweekly – Reconcile payrolls using various defense Workday audits provided by the Payroll Vendor.

· On occasions work with other Business Partners to research or resolve payroll related issues.

· Assist when needed to help on the Workday outsourced payroll error issues with members from the Customer Service or Employee Success Team.

· Assist when needed on particular tax matters as they come.

· Assist employees with leave of absences and state mismatch issues if needed.

· Ability to understand and train on EIB loads for accuracy payments on one time payments.

· Maintains current documentation and prepares new documentation as necessary.

· Support and back up for US & CAN Payroll Coordinator & Analyst as needed.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

·            5+ years of payroll experience

·            Knowledge of general payroll practices, IRS and State regulations

·            Knowledge of multi state pay related practices specifically (and local ordinances)

·            Must be able to work well as a Team player

·            Advance Windows and Excel skills necessary

·            Demonstrated ability to identify problems and propose paths to solution

·            Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

 

Desired:

·            Undergraduate degree preferred

·            3 years’ Workday payroll experience a plus

·            American Payroll Association member a plus

·            2 years reconciliation experience a plus

·            Certified Payroll Professional preferred; basic payroll class completion (local chapter) a plus
