Payroll Administrator

Payroll Administrator to support our Accounting Department

Your Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in payroll administration.
  • Preference for end-to-end payroll processing.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP is preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms.
  • Experience with Paycom is a huge plus.
  • Accounting background is also a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of payroll and benefits-related laws and requirements (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA/HITECH, PPACA, FMLA, FLSA, Internal Revenue Code Section 125, and payroll tax laws).

Job Requirements:

  • In this role you will have the opportunity to perform the following responsibilities:

    • Oversee procedures and processes and manage inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll.
    • Process payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
    • Maintain and oversee the maintenance of employee payroll records.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
    • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to management team.
    • Issue tax forms and related documentation as necessary.
    • Resolve payroll-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Bring a team-orientated and positive attitude to our Downtown Los Angeles office.
