The primary purpose of the Human Resources Generalist-Recruiter position is to conduct and coordinate all recruitment activities including, but not limited to, sourcing, advertising, networking, and analytical reporting as well as provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources. He/she will bring a strong diverse, inclusive, and equitable perspective to talent acquisition at the Center and research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Human Resources Generalist-Recruiter will be responsible for working on various projects in addition to performing a variety of clerical and administrative functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the full cycle of the recruiting process including but not limited to finding, filtering, qualifying, presenting, and consulting with Hiring Managers.
Proactively build a sourcing pipeline of diverse talent related to current openings.
Identify strategic search opportunities and assist in managing search strategy for efficient and effective recruitment.
Collaborate and meet directly with hiring managers to collect information and qualifications regarding open positions.
Monitors and evaluates flow of applications and adjust strategies to sustain applicant flow; reviews and screens applications, and manages applicant relationships.
Source candidates through Applicant Tracking System, job boards, social media and referrals. Manages internal and external job boards.
Maintain applicant tracking system and ensure appropriate recruiting records and statistics are maintained.
Attends and participates in community job fairs and recruitment sessions.
Serve as a resource to both employees and hiring managers on human resources policies and procedures and hiring best practices.
Prepare periodic recruitment reports such as time to fill, time to hire, resume tracking, passive candidate tracking, job fair outcomes, acceptance ratio and source channel reports.
Updates and reviews job descriptions as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
Performs onboarding duties as directed by the Director of Human Resources including but not limited to, tracking pre-employment background clearances, onboarding orientation and maintain applicant files.
Maintains and provides reports, forms, and documents by their deadlines.
Keeps current on federal, state, and local Human Resources laws and regulations and maintains compliance.
Fills in as back up support when necessary to other HR Team members.
May perform other duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or as directed by the Director of Human Resources.
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, Psychology or other related field highly preferred.
Minimum four (4) years prior work experience in H.R. preferred.
Type 40-45 wpm. Above average communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Must have a valid California Driver License and be insurable by the Center’s auto insurance carrier.
