The Human Resources Manager/Business Partner is a key member of the HR team in support of North America Commercial Operations organization.

As a key partner to the commercial business you will design, build and implement a holistic people strategy to enhance both organization and leadership effectiveness.

As the Business Partner you bring insights and recommendations as it relates to organization design, leadership development, change management, workforce planning, associate development/retention and D&I.

You will also be instrumental in providing coaching and guidance on topics such as leadership effectiveness, engagement of associates and performance management to several levels of leadership from Sr.

leadership (VP/Director) to front line leaders (Supervisor/Manager).

This role will be instrumental in partnering with our Commercial Support functions which include Client Services, Strategic Pricing, Sales Operations, Incentive Compensation and Regional Marketing.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

• Consult with leaders on their talent strategies including role definition, organizational design considerations, talent movement options, development planning support, including development opportunity identification, development program nominations, etc.

Provide options, solutions, and challenge where appropriate. 

• Coach and counsel leaders on creating an inclusive and engaging work environment.

Partner where needed in executing against engagement action plans and seek opportunities to bring more awareness to diversity & inclusion topics. 

• Foster diligent adoption of performance management processes including coaching leaders through situational leadership for high performing outcomes, tough conversations, co-creating performance improvement plans and ensuring leaders are consistent and following through with expectations. 

• Develop solid workforce planning and headcount management approaches; inclusive of talent acquisition effectiveness, absence management, workforce continuity and sourcing strategies.

Ensure smooth associate transitions both into and out of the organization through planning and preparation.

• Conduct employee relations investigations and consult with managers and counsel on outcomes and next steps.

Partner with internal employee relations COE on more complex situations and seek guidance and support where needed.

• Facilitate training and development programs including both leadership and onboarding courses.

• Report monthly metrics to HR leadership and client leaders, drives to ensure that countermeasures are in place when not hitting targets, and drives/participates in problem solving processes as required to implement counter measures. 

The essential requirements of the job include 

• Bachelor’s Degree in field with 9+ years’ experience including a minimum of 5 years as a generalist OR Master’s Degree in field with 7+ years’ experience including a minimum of 3 years as a generalist OR a Doctoral Degree in field with 4+ years’ experience

• Experience in recruiting, employee relations, data analysis

• Solid and sophisticated skills in organizational consulting, contracting, mediating, negotiating, and coaching.

• Working knowledge of employment law including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA and Workers Compensation.

• Thorough knowledge of the employee life cycle.

• Experience leading or contributing to small to medium scale re-orgs, org alignment, workforce planning efforts in a global structure and managing or participating in global initiatives, processes, or projects.

• Exposure to and comfort with higher level management interactions

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in 

• HR Certification
