Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual, Spanish)

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing a broad range of HR support and services for the assigned ABFS facilities.

The HR Generalist will serve as a business partner for site leadership and an advocate for employees in areas such as recruitment, new hire orientation, employee engagement, and interpretation and translation of company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process HR changes in HRIS and act as an Employee Concierge Manage the new hire onboarding process to include new hire entry into HRIS platform (BambooHR) and assist employees with the platform as well.

Lead the recruitment management process including requisition request, screening, interview coordination, employment offer and pre-employment screening.

Provide support and guidance to employees in various HR-related topics such as leave, policy interpretation, benefits (Health, 401k, PTO), and pay.

Interact frequently with management to ensure an open line of communication is maintained to identify and address any issues, needs, and/or concerns as they arise.

Serve as an advisor to site leadership for HR related topics.

Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment or any other HR related policies and procedures.

Partners with management in communicating various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and governmental regulations.

Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues and/or concerns.

Support discipline and/or termination of employee Plan and execute employee engagement events.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Bilingual, must be able to speak Spanish and English High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

HR certification a plus but not required Knowledge of Federal laws as they pertain to human resources administration and of HR practices and principles.

Strong oral, written and presentation communication Strong tech skills to work with and assist employees with various software tools used by the company during onboarding Experience in unionized environment preferable Understanding of and execution of proven recruiting practices.

Self-starter, ability to work with limited oversight Ability to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.

Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with employees at all levels and the general public.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Ability to travel as needed
