Human Resource (HR) Director needed for large healthcare organization. Tarzana Treatment Centers Inc. is seeking an experienced professional with a background in personnel management and advocacy who will report to the CEO and work with other organization Directors on overall personnel management. Our growing organization employs approximately 1,000 individuals across 15 service site locations in the Los Angeles County. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising HR staff and assisting in every aspect of staff employment needs. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the hiring process and ensuring all professionals, from executives on down, are in compliance with federal, state, and in-house regulatory requirements and procedures.
- Create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees’ job satisfaction
- Manage procedures and practices for hiring new employees and managing our staff
- Supervise procedures for onboarding new hires and ensuring compliance with background checks and specific job competencies
- Communicate with employees about compensation, benefits and other facets of their employment
- Approve and schedule PTO and SL based on employee need and company requirements
- Respond to questions or complaints from employees in a timely fashion
- Manage all other HR department personnel
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field required
- 5 + years’ experience working in a HR department
- 3+ years’ experience in a HR department leadership position
- Strong understanding of the interviewing process, benefits administration, government reporting and other HR functions
- Strong knowledge of CA labor laws
- Self-insured Workers Compensation experience, PHR certification, and ADP Workforce Now experience a plus
- Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills
