Human Resources Coordinator

You are preferably a bilingual (Spanish/English) professional with good judgement and high degree of discretion who is looking for a career on a progressive Human Resources team.

 

Job Responsibilities

Support the HR Business Partners through the various points of the employee life cycle, including the onboarding and off boarding process, performance management and employee relations.

HRIS Management

Serve as primary expert for all HR systems; ensuring accuracy, compliance, and comprehensiveness of data

Process workflows for HROps, initiating employee onboarding, I-9 verification, changes (title, compensation, etc.) and terminations in applicable HR and ETS systems

Manage accurate and compliant employee records based on Company retention policy and practices

Run monthly custom reports and ad-hoc requests, as needed

Partner with Talent Acquisition (TA) department to source resumes and schedule interviews as needed

Initiate offer letters and ensure that new hires have appropriate onboarding documentation.

Initiate and monitor background check screening, keeping managers & HR informed of discrepancies

Partner with local contact to identify work status and ensure proper setup, phones, and computers

Work with business clients in processing requests for temporary employees

Employee Relations / Compliance

Assist employes with questions on leaves of absence (short and long term disability, workers compensation and FMLA)

Act as liaison between HR ans centers of excellence in HRIS, Payroll, Benefits on day to day questions and issues

Respond to routine HR questions on policies and practices, including represented workforce, if applicable

Projects / HR Knowledge

Assist in enterprise program rollouts and training (i.e.: performance management process, salary planning, benefits open enrollment) and projects as assigned

Keep apprised and updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures

Attend & participate in training courses pertinent to Human Resources as required

Required Skills & Experience

Recent graduate or equivalent 1-3 years’ work experience (Human Resources degree preferred but not required)

An interest in pursuing Human Resources as a career

Proficiency in MS Office applications and Outlook

Proven high level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information

Strong written, verbal, interpersonal skills and a customer first attitude needed

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize is essential

Self-starter who is calm under pressure who can manage a heavy workload in a complex environment

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience and knowledge of ADP and Workday

Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills

Organizational Skills, initiative and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines

Extremely flexible, and able to easily shift priorities and focus

Experience in the media/communications industry.

Spanish fluency preferred, but not required

Eligibility Requirements

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States 

Must be willing to submit to a background investigation

Willingness to work in any of our locations on the West Coast Region when needed to onboard new hires at that location, for meetings or special project work
