SummaryAdministers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following dutiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assignedMaintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting comply with labor lawsInterpret and explain Human Resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulationsAssist with updating HR HandbookResponds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programsAdministers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organizationGains knowledge of benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and is able to provide employee assistanceConducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.Assists in on boarding and off boarding of employees, including initiating background checks, drug screens, conducting new hire orientation, E-verify, and exit interviewsAssist and manage projects given by HR headquarters teamPrepares onboarding material and helps to get it shipped outAssist HQ-HR team with administrative duties to ease their workloadMonitors employee home page and makes regular updatesParticipates in onboarding new businesses and travels with the HQ-HR team to locations in the United StatesAudit 401k documentation, benefit plans and dependent documentationAssist with leave management by following up with physician’s offices, etc.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilitiesCompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Pursues training and development opportunities, shares expertise with othersEstablishes and maintains effective relations; works cooperatively in group situationsBalances team and individual responsibilities; gives and welcomes feedback.Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written informationIncludes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; makes self-available to staffAdapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected eventsQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Ultipro Human Resource systems and Payroll systems.
