Job Description Assists in the daily functions of the HR department including maintaining the ATS, Onboarding, new hire training administration, payroll processing, HRIS maintenance, benefits administration, employee relations, and enforcing company policies and procedures; assists the Executive team with other aspects of HR administration such training, and employee recognition.
Publishes new job listings to internal and external job boards Coordinates background screening, drug screening and reference checks of candidates Organizes the new hire and onboarding processes, including the collection and processing of new hire I-9’s and W-4’s in accordance with company policies and legal.
Maintains physical and HRIS digital files for employees, and employment and benefits records.
Assists in implementing and administering employee morale and recognition plans and programs.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Ensures legal compliance with applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA and ADAAA Assists the Executive team with other aspects of HR management such as employee relations, training, and benefits administration.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Works closely with an HR Advisor to handle employee issues, performance management conversations, employee investigations, unemployment claims, terminations and exit interviews.
Tracks performance reviews.
Administers employee benefit programs, including health and dental insurance, paid time off and 401K, and informs Payroll department of any changes to ensure proper deductions are taken out.
Handles all employee benefit related questions and works closely with benefit broker to obtain plan information and coordinate open enrollment.
Responsible for end of year ACA and 401K reporting.
Administers FMLA leave and Worker’s Compensation.
Utilize HRIS to run and publish HR reports.
Maintains positive and effective relationships with all business contacts inside and outside the Company.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality in handling Company and Employee information.Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of professional human resources generalist experience with strong track record of accomplishments and advancement.
One year minimum of experience in benefits administration.
One year minimum of experience with HRIS system(s) and HR analytics preferred.
Thorough knowledge of employment and labor laws and regulations, particularly those related to equal employment.
Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR) or SHRM-CP preferred.
