Position Summary
The Human Resource Associate is responsible for ensuring that the organization attracts, hires and retains top talent while maintaining employee data. They are to develop, implement and maintain a successful recruiting strategy. In addition, they will identify and plan for future hiring needs working in collaboration with the Executive Director and department managers.
A successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and 2 to 3 years of Acquisition experience. This individual must also be comfortable working with a very diverse population.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement recruiting strategy.
- Source, recruit, screen and interview potential hires.
- Onboard all new hires and maintain proper employee documentation.
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications as needed.
- Perform task analysis as need.
- Monitor and apply HR best practices.
- Provide analytical HR reporting and documentation.
- Act as point of contract during recruitment cycle for potential hires
- Act as liaison and point of contact for employee onboarding task.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Good Seed Community Development Corp (CDC) began in the Good Seed Church of northern and southern California and seeks to provide essential services to homeless youth. Good Seed’s mission is “To help youth not only live but thrive.” Good Seed provides supportive, nurturing specialized care for homeless young people, ages 16- 25, through supportive housing, job training, and comprehensive individualized planning. Good Seed aims to ensure that youth have the tools they need to realize their goals and dreams, so that they may live healthy and meaningful lives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience (in house or staffing firm)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.
- Experience with various types of interviews.
- Must be a multi-tasker, well organized with keen attention to detail.
- Familiar with HR applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Candidate Management systems (CMS).
- Experience with human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong decision-making skills.
