The Opportunity…
We are looking for an Human Resource/People Team Assistant to join our growing Headquarters team and to execute People Operations efforts.
This position reports to the Sr.
People Generalist and supports administration, coordination, and application of company-wide people operations policies, procedures, and practices.
and execute organization-wide People Operations efforts.
This position is an excellent opportunity to grow your People skills and to learn GRID from the inside out.
Support the development and administration of department goals, systems, and projects
Support overall onboarding process for new hires and trainees: handbook orientation, start background check process, ensure paperwork is completed, answer questions, etc.
Assist People Team management with administrative duties: annual audits (ensure training completed, paperwork on file, annual notices sent, etc).
Work with other HR team members to respond to employee inquiries and work with local Executive Assistants to fulfill People requests
Assist Talent Acquisition Director with the recruitment process: posting jobs, system administration, coordinate onboarding with People generalist team
Assist with COVID-19 related items: auditing weekly testing results, track positive cases, help with contact tracing, etc.
Support employee benefits: manage qualifying event requests, update our benefits FAQ for employees, respond to employee inquiries, etc.
Support maintenance of People Team space on Jive (GRID’s intranet) and add/update policies as relevant
Send employee surveys (onboarding, exit interviews, engagement, etc).
Complete benchmark salary surveys for external survey groups
What you need to bring to this role…
Adept at change management
– comfortable in a constantly evolving environment
Excellent interpersonal, phone, and written communication skills
Highly resourceful team-player
– willing to seek answers and support the team and GRID Alternatives overall
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize
Proficient level of MS Office and G-Suite platforms
Flexible able to learn and retain new concepts and technology quickly
Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.
It would be great if you also had…
One year of general people operations experience, administration and business operations
Experience with Paycor, Paycom ATS and HRIS platforms
Where you will sit & the places you may go…
This position may require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects.
Availability to work nights and weekends may be required.
GRID Alternatives provides vehicles for work travel, and due to COVID-19 current guidelines, we may also require limited personal vehicle use.
In the latter instance, GRID will provide travel reimbursement for work-related personal vehicle use in accordance with our payroll schedule.
Additionally, all applicants will need a valid driver’s license and good driving record to be considered.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Hourly pay commensurate with experience in a range of $19.23
– $26.44 per hour.
